Node.js Developer

Hi! We are looking for a Node.js Developer to build and own the backend services behind Edverise. Edverise helps businesses find and compare verified technology vendors using verified reviews, delivery history and transparent rankings instead of ad spend. Every vendor profile, review and ranking a buyer sees passes through the APIs you will build, so reliability and clear design really matter here, and so does your work.

About the team

You will work with our frontend developers, AI engineers and the people who shape our product. We share designs before we build, keep pull requests small and readable, and help each other out whenever something breaks or a problem gets stubborn.

What you will work on

• Design and build REST APIs in Node.js and Express for search, profiles, reviews and rankings.
• Model data in MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and write queries that stay fast as the marketplace grows.
• Add caching with Redis and background jobs for tasks like review checks and notifications.
• Integrate third-party services such as email and analytics safely.
• Write tests, add monitoring and improve error handling so issues are caught early.
• Work with AI engineers to expose ranking and recommendation features through clean APIs.

What we are looking for

• 2-4 years building backend services with Node.js in production.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript and a solid understanding of REST API design.
• Experience with at least one SQL and one NoSQL database.
• Familiarity with Docker and deploying services on a cloud platform such as AWS.
• Care for security basics like authentication, input validation and safe handling of data.

What success looks like

In your first 3 months, you have shipped your first APIs to production, you understand how our services fit together, and you have added tests or monitoring where they were missing.

By 6 months, you own one or more core services, you have made a clear improvement to API speed or reliability, and you are reviewing backend designs with the team.

How we work

This is a full-time role based at our office on the 11th floor of O-Hub in Infocity, Bhubaneswar. We will walk you through working hours and the team's weekly routine during the interview process.

Day to day you will use GitHub, Docker, Node.js and AWS. We keep things simple: clear goals, honest feedback, and plenty of room to ask questions and learn. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
