Who we are
Edverise Technologies Private Limited (“Edverise”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website edverise.com and its related discovery, listing, research, ratings and review services (collectively, the “Services”). Edverise is a global B2B platform that helps buyers discover, compare and choose trusted software and technology companies through verified profiles and authentic client reviews.
Our registered details are set out at the end of this policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.
Information we collect
Account information: your name, business email address, password, job title, company, phone number and profile photo when you register — directly or through a third-party login (for example, LinkedIn or Google).
Review information: when you submit a review we collect your name, company, email, phone number and project details for verification. You may choose to publish your review with attribution or, where offered, anonymously (showing only generic details such as job title, industry, company size and location).
Vendor / company information: if you claim or create a company profile, the business details, services, portfolio, logo, pricing and team information you provide.
Communications and support: information you share when you contact us, respond to surveys, or request to be matched with providers.
Payment information: if you purchase paid services, billing details processed securely through our third-party payment providers (we do not store full card numbers).
To support our reference-check and review process you may provide information about others (for example, a client’s name, email or company). You must have their consent before sharing it. We use such information only for verification and review purposes.
Because of how Edverise works, some company profiles are created by us from publicly available and third-party sources (for example, company websites, public business registries, and other public listings) before a company registers. These profiles may include business name, description, services, location, publicly listed contact details and similar business information. A company can claim its profile at any time to control, correct or update it, or request its removal — see “Claiming, correcting or removing a company profile” below and the Data Deletion Request page.
Like most online services, we and our providers use cookies, server logs, web beacons and similar technologies to collect device and usage information — such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages visited and interactions with the Services. See “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below.
How we use information
We rely on the following legal bases (as applicable under the DPDP Act, GDPR and similar laws): your consent; performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services; and compliance with legal obligations. We use information to:
Create and manage your account and provide the Services;
Verify and publish reviews, ratings and company profiles;
Personalise content, improve and develop the Services, and conduct research and analytics;
Communicate with you, including service messages and — where permitted — marketing you can opt out of;
Provide feedback and enquiries to companies listed on the Services;
Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse, security issues and violations of our Terms; and
Comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.
We may anonymise or de-identify information so it no longer identifies you; such information is not subject to this policy.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When we no longer have a legitimate need to process it, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it. Once a review is approved and published it may not be editable or removable except as described in our Terms of Use; you may submit a revision.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, improve security, measure usage and — where applicable — deliver relevant advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where required by law, through our cookie-consent banner. We use third-party analytics and advertising providers who may collect information through these technologies. Because there is no common industry standard, we do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Your privacy rights
If you are in India, you have the right to access, correct, complete, update and erase your personal data, to nominate another individual to exercise your rights, and to grievance redressal. You may exercise these rights, or raise a grievance, by contacting our Grievance Officer (below).
If you are in the EU/UK, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and rights relating to automated decision-making. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” as defined by law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Similar rights may apply under other US state laws.
To exercise any right, contact us at compliance@edverise.com or use the Data Deletion Request page. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the timelines required by law.
International data transfers
We operate globally, and your information may be processed in India and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers. By using the Services, you understand your information may be transferred as described.
Claiming, correcting or removing a company profile
If your company appears on Edverise and you wish to claim, correct or update the profile, you can do so through the claim process on the profile page. To request removal of a profile compiled from public sources, contact compliance@edverise.com or use the Data Deletion Request page; we will verify your authority to act for the company before actioning the request.
Security, children's privacy and third-party links
We implement technical, administrative and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — see our Security & Responsible Disclosure page. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 18; we do not knowingly collect their personal information. The Services may link to third-party sites whose practices are governed by their own policies, for which we are not responsible.
Changes and how to contact us
We may update this Policy as our practices and legal requirements evolve; we will post the updated version with a new effective date. For questions, requests or grievances, contact our Grievance Officer.
