How Edverise ranks software companies
Edverise ranks software companies on verified client reviews and proven results. Advertising spend and paid placement play no part. This page explains what goes into a ranking, how rankings are grouped, and how often they change.
The short version
Rankings are based on verified reviews and proven results.
Only reviews confirmed to come from a real client on a real project count.
Companies are ranked within a category and, where relevant, a location.
Paying Edverise does not raise a company’s rank.
What goes into a ranking
Each ranking reflects how clients actually experienced working with a company. Edverise measures that experience from verified reviews, across these areas:
- 01
Overall satisfaction
How highly clients rate the company, and how many verified reviews support that rating.
- 02
Support and communication
How well the company keeps clients informed and responds when they need it.
- 03
Ease of working together
How smooth the collaboration was from start to finish.
- 04
Project results
The outcomes and return on investment clients report from the work.
- 05
Delivery
Whether the company delivers on the timeline it agreed.
- 06
Review quality
Edverise looks at the quality of the feedback behind a rating, not only the score.
A company also needs a minimum number of verified reviews to appear in a ranking. This stops a single strong review from placing a company at the top.
What does not count
Four things that are often assumed to help, and on Edverise have no effect on where a company ranks.
Advertising spend
A company cannot buy a higher position.
A paid membership
Having a paid Edverise account does not change a company’s rank.
Unverified or anonymous reviews
A review that cannot be confirmed as coming from a real client on a real project is not counted.
Claims a company makes about itself
A profile description helps buyers understand a company, but it does not move its ranking.
Compared with companies that do the same work in the same place
A single list for every software company would not help a buyer. Edverise ranks companies within groups, so you can compare companies that do the same kind of work in the same place.
By category
Edverise covers 2,000+ specialized services and categories, such as mobile app development, AI development and UI/UX design.
By location
Rankings are available for a city, a country and wider regions: India, APAC, EMEA and the Americas.
By client size
Companies are also assessed on how well they serve startups, small and mid-sized businesses, and enterprises.
By specialty
Areas such as AI, cloud, mobile, UX and cybersecurity are recognized on their own.
How often rankings change
Quarterly rankings are re-evaluated every quarter, so a company has to keep earning its position. Annual recognition looks at performance across the whole year. Only companies with a published profile are ranked.
How rankings connect to badges
Badges are how Edverise recognizes performance. Quarterly badges carry the quarter they were earned in, and annual badges carry the year. Every badge links back to the company’s live profile, where a buyer can check the reviews and results behind it.
How a company can improve its ranking
There is no shortcut, and that is intended. These are the steps that help:
- 1
Claim your profile, or register your company if it is not listed, and complete all the company information.
- 2
Ask clients you have worked with to review a real project.
- 3
Keep delivering good work, communicating clearly and finishing on time.
