S5D helped Team Viper/Venom (TVV) illustrate the contributions of all 13 partners to the AH-1Z and UH-1Y helicopters, presenting it within a “Raid/Escort” scenario intended as a sales tool for prospective clients. Transporting aircraft to a customer's site or a live event can incur millions in costs and create logistical challenges, especially with multiple meetings occurring simultaneously. To address this, Bell engaged Sector 5 Digital to develop an innovative augmented reality (AR) tool that dynamically depicts the AH-1Z (Viper) and UH-1Y (Venom) in a realistic combat setting while emphasizing each helicopter's unique selling points (USPs). Sector 5 Digital designed an AR solution that brought scalable, miniature models into the user’s environment, featuring clickable hotspots on the helicopters to showcase the partners’ contributions to the Viper/Venom team. The solution included a “Raid/Escort” scenario depicting the aircraft in a rugged mission context. The launch of the TVV AR application enabled all thirteen partners to effectively convey their USPs to key clients while presenting both aircraft and their 85% commonality in a realistic combat scenario. The capability to deliver this experience via a simple iPad ultimately saved Bell and the other TVV partners millions in logistical expenses. Due to the initial success of the TVV AR application with both internal and external stakeholders, S5D is continuing to enhance the AR application with more scenarios and updates to demonstrate the Viper/Venom platform's versatility.
