Born and raised in Los Angeles and now based in Atlanta, he has extensive experience working across film productions of various budgets, from major studio projects to independent films. His expertise covers numerous production roles, including Assistant Director on DGA projects, Field Producer for prominent nationwide brands like the WNBA and ServiceNow, and 2nd Unit Director with work appearing on network television. Barrera is a dedicated advocate of independent film, having directed narrative shorts such as "Heartbreak, Coffee, and A Pack of Cigarettes." Known for his professionalism and calm demeanor, he is currently working on his feature directorial debut, THE DAILIES.
