Sydetasker is a mobile application designed to connect individuals with local assistance for various odd jobs. Users can submit job requests, such as "Need lawn cut and leaves raked for $100," and the app manages the fulfillment of these orders, communication, job bidding, and additional features. **Technology Utilized:** - **Mobile:** The app for both iOS and Android was developed using Flutter, a cross-platform framework supported by Google that enables the creation of apps from a single codebase. - **Backend:** Firebase was employed for user authentication, push notifications, web chat, app monitoring, user engagement, hosting, and various other services. - **Database:** Firestore served to store all user data, and we implemented functions and triggers to automate connections with the mobile apps and other APIs. - **Indexing:** Algolia was integrated for fast searches and auto-completion features, enhancing user experience. - **Payments:** Stripe, a prominent payment processing platform, was used to securely handle transactions, manage virtual escrow accounts, facilitate payouts to Taskers, and oversee other money transfers. - **Conferencing:** TokBox was utilized to enable users to communicate via audio and video calls.

Racine Police Department

The Racine Police Department serves a population of over 81,000 residents in Southeastern Wisconsin. We developed an easy-to-use app compatible with Android tablets, allowing officers to issue citations directly from the device. The app records each citation in the database and integrates with various State of Wisconsin databases. After a citation is generated, it is printed via a mobile Zebra printer using Bluetooth BLE. There is also an option for electronic citation issuance. The mobile app, created using React Native, operates on an Android tablet. It connects to a mobile Zebra printer to print citations that include multiple fields, QR codes, and an online payment option. The backend utilizes .NET with SQL Server, and the app interacts with other API services managed by the State of Wisconsin. Key components of development include React Native, mobile app design, user experience design, and API integration within the mobile development framework.

Badger burger
