Roomating done right
UX & UI When individuals share costs, whether among roommates in a household, friends hosting a party, or families on a trip, it’s common for someone to feel they have contributed more financially, leading to potential conflicts. SplitSpend addresses all issues related to splitting expenses. Its primary goal is to maintain healthy relationships by ensuring fair and equitable expense sharing. We have developed a fresh, timeless identity that visually conveys a sense of care for users and equality among them. From the very first interaction with the app, we aim to guide users in a friendly and relaxed manner, fostering enduring relationships. The Dashboard is divided into three sections: Recent Activity, Shopping List, and History, showcasing the app’s main functions at first glance. The Recent tab provides a comprehensive overview of both personal and group finances, including personal balances, notifications for missing items, overall progress, and a summary of recent purchases along with the names of contributors. The Shopping List serves as the heart of the app, assisting groups in organizing necessary purchases. For instance, users can create lists for various rooms in a home and easily include or exclude users from specific items by simply clicking on their photo. Consequently, when a purchase is made, they are automatically factored into the group’s balance, or excluded as needed.
