Application development, QA Automation, Devops
**BACKGROUND** The client is one of the largest family-oriented indoor water park resorts in the United States, offering award-winning vacation experiences that foster quality family time and create lasting memories. As the client expanded into new markets, they increased their investment in technology and sought to enhance the productivity of their application development team. To achieve this, they turned to Xcelacore for assistance in supplementing their development initiatives.
**TEST AUTOMATION PLATFORM** Xcelacore formed a multi-member QA team to create a test automation platform utilizing Behat, BrowserStack, and Selenium. This implementation will substantially cut down the time spent on regression testing and enhance application quality and team productivity. The framework is being designed to integrate with various email service providers and to facilitate multilingual website testing.
**SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND DEVOPS** The client aimed to transition their PHP-based Drupal platform to .Net and AEM. Xcelacore took the lead on the development process. The new .Net platform is hosted on Azure, using Kubernetes and an efficient CI/CD workflow. The client opted to shift their backend application development from AWS to Azure, enlisting Xcelacore's support for this migration. Xcelacore quickly put together a small team to create a containerized DevOps pipeline for microservices, efficiently implementing the CI/CD pipeline with Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Services. This DevOps solution was designed to operate seamlessly across local development (Windows), staging, and production (Linux) environments, minimizing challenges during transitions among these settings.
**Results** The newly scalable platform was successfully launched, leading to improved conversion rates and more effective management and deployment of new features.
