Overview: Atticmedia is a prestigious agency specializing in learning and communications, recognized for its contributions since 1996. They have developed effective learning tools for notable clients such as PwC, M&S, Pearson, Johnson & Johnson, the NHS, the BBC, and various government agencies. Their innovative and carefully crafted approach infuses creativity into each project. Seeking a brand that embodies their philosophy of "crafted digital learning," Atticmedia has always aimed to maintain its roots from its modest loft-based origins—symbolizing the importance of starting small, excelling in what they do, and remembering their beginnings despite growth. Over the past 22 years, Atticmedia's brand has gone through several iterations while consistently being represented by its name and the iconic spider logo, a symbol commonly found in attics worldwide.
Our initial task was to establish a visual style for the next phase of the brand's evolution. Atticmedia was looking for a bold, contemporary appearance characterized by unique colors and robust typography, reflecting their sense of discovery and innovation in learning. We researched the visual elements of their brand roadmap, which enabled us to align our vision with that of the Atticmedia team. Through a series of rapid sprints, we collaborated to create a visual foundation for the brand. We developed a modern aesthetic with a new color palette, refined icons, and high-quality imagery. The final result honors the company’s heritage while ensuring it can effectively compete in today’s bustling market. The new branding was implemented through internal design guidelines and updated on the Atticmedia website.
