My passion for guitars began early, shifting from bass guitar to guitar in 1977. Decades later, inspired by a conversation with a musician friend, I returned to my original love—the bass. Finding traditional models inadequate, I decided to craft my own instrument, combining my lifelong construction skills with musical knowledge. Upon debuting my first handmade 5-string bass, it received high praise from sound professionals and fellow musicians, including a touring bassist for Jerry Douglas. Encouraged by loved ones and peers, I now build guitars and basses by hand in my small home workshop alongside my son, producing limited, high-quality instruments without mass-production technology. Committed to craftsmanship and customization, I invite interested players to collaborate in creating their ideal, American-made instrument.
