Iowa Educational Services for the Blind & Visually

Webspec revamped the IESBVI website to ensure it complies with all 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, enabling all users to easily navigate the site and access necessary information. Iowa Educational Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired (IESBVI) provides educational resources for children from birth to age 21 who are blind or visually impaired. IESBVI collaborates with Iowa's Area Education Agencies (AEAs) and school districts to offer support that facilitates successful learning both inside and outside the classroom. One of the primary challenges for IESBVI was to develop a website that is fully accessible. As an organization dedicated to serving the public, particularly individuals who are blind or visually impaired, it was crucial to meet and exceed accessibility requirements. Additionally, enhancing the user experience was a significant issue with their previous website, which was neither mobile-responsive nor user-friendly for their primary audiences. Paws & Pints

In 2019, Megan and Kyle, the founders of Paws & Pints, began taking steps to realize their innovative business concept. They envisioned a space where dogs and their owners could socialize with friends. To establish a brand identity from scratch, they reached out to Webspec for assistance. The Challenge Megan and Kyle envisioned a diverse array of services for their venture, which required a brand identity that was equally bold and adaptable. It was essential to help potential investors and sponsors see their idea as a tangible reality. Creating a Brand Identity Our team worked closely with Megan and Kyle to develop the Paws & Pints brand identity thoroughly. We collaborated to pinpoint their target user personas, gaining insights into how Paws & Pints could best meet their needs. This exercise revealed the necessity of positioning Paws & Pints as a blend of the coziness of a local pub and the extravagant care provided by a spa for pets. Designing a Logo One of the initial challenges was creating a logo that would embody the Paws & Pints brand identity while also representing the various services offered. Together with Megan and Kyle, it was decided that each division of the business would have its own distinct logo, designed to maintain a cohesive visual connection to the Paws & Pints logo. Paws & Pints Website In addition to brand identity development, Megan and Kyle recognized the importance of launching a website for Paws & Pints. The site will allow interested individuals to learn more about the services available, join as members, and apply for job openings. We are proud to assist Megan and Kyle in bringing their vision to life and eagerly anticipate their future success.

Webspec builds Hormel new online catalog

Hormel

Hormel Ingredient Solutions introduced a new line of premium protein ingredients and collaborated with Webspec to launch an online catalog that allows potential partners to request samples. Our team enjoyed the challenge of transforming ingredients into finished products in the homepage design while aligning with Hormel's branding and integrating a product catalog via WooCommerce. The Issue While Hormel Ingredient Solutions wanted users to browse their product catalog, the website didn't require a conventional e-commerce shopping cart. Our team leveraged WooCommerce's capabilities for easy catalog management and user interaction. This setup enabled Hormel to let users add items to a "cart" for sample requests without needing to handle payment like a traditional online store. Summary of Solutions Before & After Through the development, design, and writing of the new website, Hormel Ingredient Solutions successfully transitioned a new brand from concept to online reality. Our team collaborated to create a platform that met Hormel's brand guidelines while maintaining creativity and optimizing user experience.
