With numerous success stories to showcase, Community First Fund required a platform to highlight their rapidly expanding portfolio of start-ups that they have supported in becoming successful businesses. The new website provides guidance and resources for emerging start-ups and entrepreneurs to utilize. We created a system that enables CFF to manage their portfolio effectively and effortlessly add new success stories as they develop. The system is built on the WordPress content management platform, utilizing custom post types, categories, and taxonomies. The site ensures that visitors can conveniently access information about their loan program and apply for loans directly online, while also emphasizing past success stories and the positive impact on the community.

One of the early challenges we confronted was how to effectively showcase the diverse specialties of a rapidly expanding CPA firm with a solid reputation and an increasing collection of client testimonials. Our solution was to create a dashboard-style application website to highlight these elements. The homepage features a randomized box layout, ensuring that returning visitors encounter a different experience each time, with fresh stories displayed. Additionally, the page automatically integrates the company’s blog and news feed. The entire site operates on WordPress, enabling RKL to update all parts of the website independently of our assistance. We faced several challenges in designing manageable pages with advanced features, such as allowing the selection of featured partners for each page. To address this, we implemented an intuitive filtering system supported by a custom backend API for their partners and principals page. This tailored microapp refreshes the page in real-time, eliminating the need for users to wait for page reloads. Furthermore, each section of the site dynamically showcases partners based on the category or taxonomy assigned to them, utilizing our custom post type API.

It can be difficult to find a digital agency that possesses a deep technical understanding of your application needs and can establish an appropriate framework. United CoolAir faced challenges in locating a local agency capable of addressing their issues without quitting halfway through the project. The initial hurdle involved integrating a third-party zip code API and correlating that data with usable location information. Each distributor associated with United CoolAir must be located on their website based on zip code or state. We were tasked with creating a user-friendly system that wouldn't timeout due to large datasets. The next step was to develop a sequential search system capable of efficiently navigating a database filled with thousands of products that the company has manufactured over the years. Crafting a system that wasn't overly demanding on processing power required a sophisticated search algorithm. Finally, we needed to implement a custom login system that would allow distributors to access private information and download their proprietary software, along with an automated process to validate new user registrations while safeguarding against hacking attempts.
