RandGallery was an emerging NFT marketplace on the Algorand blockchain. When ZestCapital got involved, they recognized the potential to elevate the platform. They teamed up with our agency, WaterWhip, to revitalize RandGallery, intending to establish it as a premier destination for the NFT community. ZestCapital’s acquisition promised growth but also introduced challenges. The main focus was to rebrand RandGallery and enhance its user-friendliness without sacrificing its original appeal or market presence within the Algorand ecosystem. The process started with the development of a streamlined React component library to create a cohesive and engaging user interface. Following that, Rand Tools and Rand Drops were developed to simplify the management and launch of NFT projects on Algorand. By closely collaborating with the RandGallery team and maintaining regular feedback loops, we steadily improved the platform over nine months. The results were clear: RandGallery transformed into a vibrant platform with a notable increase in user engagement. The simplified processes for creating, buying, and selling NFTs, along with collaborations with artists like Hans, brought renewed recognition to RandGallery. This project not only enhanced RandGallery's market position but also added a success story to our portfolio, highlighting the significance of user-focused design and ongoing enhancement in the web3 space.

Reforging XCAD Launchpad

XCAD Network

We embarked on an exciting project to rebuild and relaunch XCAD Launchpad, an innovative platform aimed at helping content creators launch their own web3 fan tokens. This initiative aimed to create a seamless connection between digital content and blockchain technology. After securing partnerships with prominent creators like KSI, XCAD aimed to enhance the Launchpad's user experience within the web3 environment. The process involved redesigning various UX/UI components to simplify user actions—ranging from logging in and depositing XCAD tokens on the blockchain to claiming fan tokens from their preferred creators. Additionally, a supplementary site was planned to navigate geofencing challenges for users in the US and India, addressing local regulations that restrict crypto purchases via credit cards. Despite the technical complexities, our experienced team felt confident moving forward. Using Next.JS for its server-side rendering features and easy page routing, we began the rebuilding process. We explored exciting blockchain technologies, including Zilliqa and Binance Smart Chain, enhancing our solutions with ether.js and zilliqa-js for smooth smart contract interactions. Our previous experience with crypto projects helped us quickly familiarize ourselves with Zilliqa. We carefully tackled challenges such as linking multiple blockchains to a user account and creating a smooth toggle mechanism for switching accounts and depositing tokens. The relaunch of XCAD Launchpad was a significant achievement, featuring multiple fan tokens on the platform. The enthusiastic involvement of thousands of users, who deposited hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of XCAD, highlighted the project’s success. This effort not only expanded the potential of XCAD Launchpad but also enriched our journey, showcasing the synergy between user-friendly design and blockchain technology in enhancing user engagement in the web3 landscape.

Elevating The Black Report: Google Backed Project

Google For Startups / 10x10VC

We were given a pivotal role in a project led by Andy Davis, supported by 10x10 VC and Google Startups. The objective was to create and launch a platform called The Black Report, which would highlight the Black Business Ecosystem in the UK. Our respected partners at Kudoscope reached out to us for additional frontend expertise to help bring this project to life. The intention was to launch the initiative during Black History Month, but the pandemic disrupted our timeline. Nevertheless, the team's determination remained steadfast, and we navigated the obstacles to produce an outstanding product for Google and 10x10. With a focus on engineering excellence, we sought the best technology stack, ultimately choosing Next.js for its ability to efficiently support React-based static sites and its built-in server-side rendering (SSR) feature, ensuring a fast and user-friendly experience. The Chakra UI component library also played a crucial role in our development journey, which I documented on Medium.com. The successful completion of The Black Report received praise from Google and garnered attention in prominent publications like Forbes Magazine. This project not only demonstrated our ability to overcome challenges but also illustrated the incredible results that can be achieved through collaboration and the right technology in the digital space.
