Building a digital capability for a global brand

Nuseed

**Background:** Virvo Digital took the lead in designing and executing an internal digital marketing capability for Nuseed, a global agricultural seed firm. **DEVELOPING THE MARKETING STRATEGY AND CONTENT TEAMS:** Initially, Virvo Digital worked on creating a comprehensive annual marketing and communication plan that outlined key campaigns, content themes, and contributors. Our content marketing strategy incorporated not only freelance creatives and marketing personnel but also involved collaboration with members from the sales and product teams. This varied group of content contributors brought in a range of insights, resulting in richer content tailored for Nuseed’s primary audiences: sunflower, canola, and carinata growers. **IMPLEMENTING THE MARKETING STRATEGY WITH TECHNOLOGY:** Next, Virvo Digital facilitated the planning and execution of internal communication processes for digital content creation, including the deployment of various marketing automation tools. This encompassed centralized marketing initiatives, media asset libraries, password management solutions, and social media tools. These technological advancements significantly improved knowledge sharing, coordination, and efficiency. **EXECUTING THE MARKETING STRATEGY THROUGH TACTICAL CAMPAIGN PLANS:** Once the strategies were crafted and internal processes established, it was time for execution. Virvo supported the tactical implementation of campaigns, which included recruiting and onboarding a dedicated team of full-time specialists and contractors. **RESULTS:**

Canadian Finals Rodeo

Background: Andriy Tovstiuk, the founder of Virvo, spearheaded the digital marketing strategy for the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR), recognized as the largest indoor championship rodeo worldwide. With the rise of video content, Andriy and his team embraced a "video first" approach to content marketing, creating a variety of innovative videos for the event. This initiative included hosted video interviews with cowboys and cowgirls, branded segments under "#NorthlandsTV," pre-roll video ads, animated GIFs, live streams, and even immersive 360-degree videos from the bull chutes. The inclusion of video content significantly enhanced the marketing campaign for the event. Below are key digital marketing metrics comparing the 2015 and 2016 CFR events, which showed substantial improvements directly linked to the video-centric content marketing strategy. Results (2016):
