Taking off during COVID: from idea to $1.9M raised

Brio Systems

Brio devised an effective strategy to help businesses resume normal operations during the pandemic. They shifted their focus to COVID testing and approached us for support. Over several months, we developed interactive prototypes for an employee app, a website, sales brochures to build trust with potential clients, and training materials. By leveraging these prototypes, Brio successfully secured funding to further develop and expand their innovative testing platform. To ensure a smooth and error-free onboarding process for test subjects, we identified potential issues in user flows and refined the registration processes on both web and mobile for various user types. This approach helped avoid operational disruptions and reduced client expenses, but most importantly, it allowed Brio to earn trust and gain business. Here’s how our system functioned: Test subjects used the mobile app to create accounts and sign up for testing events. They could download their results from the web app, which also provided a secure area for uploading vaccination records. Clients were able to log in to access their group's testing results, analytics, KPIs, and monitor potential COVID-19 outbreaks. Staff and nurses registered test subjects through a user-friendly onboarding process that minimized errors and ensured efficient event management. We also created a series of guides and interactive training resources for setting up different COVID-19 testing events. Our easy-to-follow, accurate, and visually appealing step-by-step instructions helped prevent organizational mistakes and ensured the maximum accuracy of test results. Recognizing that many of our users might not speak English or be tech-savvy, we incorporated graphics to enhance the user experience and achieve our goal of reducing errors in the results. Brio successfully delivered over 13.5 million COVID-19 test results for Fortune 500 companies, ensuring that vital infrastructure continued to operate during the pandemic.

UX/UI for transport infrastructure SaaS software

IEC International

IEC International developed a SaaS solution for modeling, forecasting, planning, and monitoring data related to transport infrastructure. Their aim was to incorporate cutting-edge calculation methods from transport expertise and present complex data in a straightforward and user-friendly interface suitable for experts and authorities at all levels in the industry. User experience (UX) played a vital role in this process. We conducted market research and competitive analysis, followed by detailed user interviews. By involving users and clients in the wireframing phase, we accelerated the design of layouts. We also created and enhanced diagrams for each system module to ensure the development team retained essential features with every release. Over four years, our team designed 12 modules comprising over 150 layouts and processed more than 5,000 projects for IEC. Our partnership enabled them to secure over $8 million in funding within just one year.
