ASOS Festival App UX Design
**The Challenge**
ASOS, the largest independent online retailer of fashion and beauty in the UK catering to young adults, aimed to explore a new vision through an app called "Who’s Going?" This app would focus on festival enthusiasts, allowing them to search for, select, and plan their festival outings with friends, along with offering matching fashion and accessories. Although ASOS is not a music or festival brand, they were venturing into uncharted territory and required assistance in defining user objectives and necessary app features. Our job was to develop and design the app within a month.
**The Solution**
In the initial days, we focused on understanding the desired features and functionality while securing stakeholder approval on project scope. Key milestones included creating and executing a user research survey, as well as wireframing and developing an interactive prototype. Time posed a significant challenge; the ASOS marketing team could not conduct customer research during their busy December period. As a solution, we devised a cost-effective method to gather essential insights from festivalgoers through a targeted Facebook survey based on relevant demographics and behaviors. Additional tasks emerged, such as creating high-level page designs for the prototype.
**The Results**
In just 17 days, we completed a comprehensive review of the prototype, including detailed definitions, feasibility evaluations, and designs. We provided a complete set of wireframes and a fully interactive app prototype, enabling developers to swiftly begin implementation.
