By analyzing market trends and consumer behaviors, we developed a connected grocery shopping experience that links IoT interfaces for customers with retailers’ backend systems. Though it is a niche market, the equestrian sports industry is structured in a highly conventional manner. Most riding products are sold in physical stores where customers can try items firsthand to assess their quality and fit. Winderen, a European producer of premium equestrian equipment, presented us with a unique challenge: they aimed to shake up the traditional sales approach by selling their products directly to consumers through e-commerce. At the time they approached us, their brand was relatively new and not well-established, which added to the challenge. Upside took charge of the UX design and the front-end development of Winderen’s platform, while also ensuring a smooth integration of an existing back-end system.
