Door County Coastal Byway Rebrand and Website

Door County Coastal Byway

The Door County Coastal Byway has been a long-time client and was in need of a website redesign. The objectives of the project included refreshing the current site by incorporating best practices, developing a searchable and filterable database to easily locate information on specific locations or attractions, and prominently displaying both the National and State scenic byway statuses to lend authority to the organization. The redesign aimed to highlight community involvement by featuring sponsor logos and promote inclusivity by ensuring the website is mobile-friendly and ADA 508 compliant. The revamped website now showcases 80 distinct features along the byway, each opening as a pop-up with trail maps (when applicable), pet-friendliness indicators, available restroom facilities, and directions that can be sent directly to users' phones. Additional details are accessible through a dedicated features website. Given the diverse range of visitors, the design was tailored to attract millennials, newlyweds, sports enthusiasts, families, and retirees. The entire project spanned four months, involving a strategic planning session, design mockups, design approval, functionality programming, and data entry. The Door County Coastal Byways board (DCCB) enlisted extra help to research, verify, and compile information about all the attractions. Due to the extensive features included, multiple rounds of edits were conducted to ensure the site was flawless upon launch.

Northern Sky Theater Branding and Website Redesign

We initially held a consulting session to explore their specific needs, which happened before the COVID pandemic. As their season shifted dramatically from entirely in-person events to completely online formats, we adapted our approach accordingly. After being contracted for the projects, we organized a three-hour strategy session with their stakeholders, filled with vibrant energy from a diverse group of musicians, actors, and creative professionals. This meeting took place at the Northern Sky facility in Fish Creek, with a few participants joining us virtually via Zoom. After identifying their challenges and brainstorming potential solutions, we began the design process. We developed a brand identity to inform the website design, aiming to address the issues faced by their clients. However, after we designed, developed, and launched the new website in March 2020, everything changed when COVID-19 impacted our region. Northern Sky Theater had to adapt since local restrictions prevented in-person shows. Consequently, the creative team opted to offer virtual performances, requiring the website to not only reflect this shift but also promote the purchase of virtual tickets. Our team revisited the design and user experience, successfully creating a new site within two months, much to the client's satisfaction. When things began to stabilize, we revamped the homepage once again, integrating both versions of the site. They now have a functional, aesthetically pleasing website, a cohesive brand identity, and the flexibility to quickly adjust their site as needed. They also continue to receive ongoing technical support from Tweak.

Peninsula Players Theatre Website Redesign

Peninsula Players Theatre has been a valued client of Tweak Agency for many years. While our long-standing relationship is beneficial, it also means we built their website nearly a decade ago. Although the site served its purpose, it was in need of modernization. It wasn't mobile-friendly and was challenging to maintain. After a comprehensive onboarding session with the Marketing Director, we created several mockups. The director appreciated various aspects of each design, so we merged those elements to achieve the perfect look. Once the design was finalized, we began developing the website, prioritizing mobile accessibility to ensure that all information could be easily accessed via mobile devices. We also focused on simplifying updates; now, adding a new play requires only a single entry point, and the information is automatically formatted across the entire site, ensuring consistency. The team at Peninsula Players is thrilled with their new website and is looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come!
