Cryptohunt

Cryptohunt is a startup based in the United States that aims to educate users about the cryptocurrency, decentralized finance (DeFi), and Web3 ecosystems through engaging online courses, quizzes, and tests. The Tooploox team assisted Cryptohunt's founders in developing their product and providing the code for their minimum viable product (MVP). This team, which included both frontend and backend developers, became integral to Cryptohunt. Working in a startup environment, they utilized existing code to enhance functionality and adaptability. The platform was built using NextJS technology, featuring multiple subpages that present various content formats, such as training videos, slideshows, and quizzes. To enhance user experience, the solution pre-generates these subpages for each user before they access them, significantly reducing loading times. Additionally, the team optimized the site for search engine optimization (SEO). As a result, Cryptohunt’s platform went live in the first half of June 2022, and the Tooploox team continues to assist the company in introducing new features and refining the user experience on the platform.

ETH Zurich

ETH Zurich, officially known as the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, is a prestigious academic research institution known for its distinguished scientists, including notable figures like Albert Einstein and John von Neumann, and is home to 22 Nobel Prize winners. In the 2022 QS World University Rankings, ETH Zurich was placed 8th globally and 4th in Europe. In our project, EXCITE plays a crucial role by providing Tooploox with data obtained from computer tomography scans of living patients. These scans are extremely valuable for diagnostics but require expert interpretation from a radiologist for each image. Virtual and Augmented Reality Presenting a 3D model on a computer screen is impressive and can offer a wealth of information for both doctors and students. However, this method is not the most user-friendly for engaging with a 3D model. Furthermore, viewing a model on a screen inhibits the lesson's interactivity and creates unnecessary obstacles. To address this, the Tooploox team has utilized HoloLens, a virtual reality device from Microsoft, to create a software solution that provides an Augmented Reality educational experience in medical training. This device showcases a 3D image of a chosen organ model that appears to float in front of the user. The result is a 3D heart displayed mid-air in the classroom, where all intricate details of the cardiac structure are visible to onlookers. The heart model moves in sync with the organ's behavior inside a patient's body (or stays still if the teacher pauses the animation), allowing students to effortlessly rotate the organ and observe the heart valves functioning through the aorta.

CoinDesk is a prominent website that provides information on cryptocurrencies, covering the entire crypto market and its assets. Established in 2013, it attracts up to a million daily users through various channels such as social media, email newsletters, podcasts, and videos. **Our Project: Redesign** To accommodate the expanding audience of the portal, new functionalities were introduced. This included access to different data types tailored for more experienced, professional users, while ensuring the interface remained user-friendly for beginners in price analysis. **Implementation** Our design team needed to strike a balance between website usability and the monetization strategy, which relied exclusively on advertising revenue. CoinDesk was also testing paywalled content and premium versions, prompting our design team to create various layouts, including options for day and night modes, mobile and desktop views, with and without ads. **User Research** To enhance monetization and better cater to user needs, CoinDesk engaged Tooploox to conduct in-depth research on its target audience. The research began with an online survey as a quantitative approach, conducted in an online format. Thanks to the website's significant traffic, the Tooploox team received over 700 responses from participants worldwide, representing varying levels of cryptocurrency knowledge. These insights enabled the development of three key user personas. **Outcome** The entire process was completed in just 22 days, successfully delivering the website redesign and user research. Our efforts culminated in the revamped Market Interest and Pricing Pages for both mobile and desktop, featuring interfaces available in two color modes—day and night. Additionally, we introduced innovative "spiderweb" graphs that had not been previously seen on the platform.
