ABOUT TETHRA TALENTSouth African talent for UK SMEs.
I manage the South African branch of Tethra Talent alongside my brother. Unlike large, impersonal agencies, we are a small team dedicated to compiling a trusted list of professionals who truly deliver results. Our business is rooted in a clear understanding: UK-based small and medium enterprises require top-tier talent to grow, and there is an abundance of skilled professionals in South Africa ready to work at a London standard. We serve as the connection between these two.
What we do involves finding and vetting candidates across three main areas: Strategic Operations, Financial Services, and Digital Infrastructure. This encompasses a variety of roles such as Finance Operations Managers, Bookkeepers, Executive Assistants, and Brand Designers, specifically focusing on positions where determination and attention to detail are crucial.
My background includes freelance design and brand strategy through my studio, DDS. Over the years, I’ve guided projects from initial ideas to completion, including the launch of a published book in London and the visual strategy for a restaurant opening in Sydney. These experiences have shown me that the key to a project's success lies in an individual’s perseverance and commitment to achieving excellent results. At Tethra, I apply this insight to find our candidates. Being physically present in South Africa allows me to personally source talent, assess their work, and ensure they can work independently for international clients.
Our model works because I don’t believe in micromanagement. Instead, I focus on identifying trustworthy professionals and collaborating with them to polish their work. Every candidate in our database is thoroughly vetted by me to guarantee they share the same proactive attitude I value in my own creative endeavors. We manage all aspects of operations and compliance in South Africa, allowing you to concentrate on your business. Our offering includes a high-quality, remote-first workforce with a minimal time difference (0-2 hours) and a common language.
