Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Trace Environmental created a sophisticated VB/VFP data acquisition product, deployed across hundreds of customer sites and integral to their operations. This product represented twenty to thirty man-years of dedicated development. Following the unexpected loss of a key developer, the company faced the challenge of sustaining this legacy software. Tech Gazebo stepped in, thoroughly analyzing the application and crafting a strategic plan to migrate it to a modern, more maintainable platform. Despite initial doubts about the project's feasibility, team members Siva and Karthik successfully executed the transition, securing a promising future for both the software and Trace Environmental.
