A tale of two migrations
How we provided Cinetics with a million-dollar appearance and the necessary platform, not just once but twice.
Project Overview: In 2017, Cinetics was on the verge of reaching $1 million in sales through various Kickstarter campaigns. They required a quick, dependable, and visually appealing website that was easy for their small, busy team to manage. We decided to utilize Lemonstand due to its exceptional design-oriented approach and adaptability. The project's main focuses included:
Development speed and budget: The website needed to be created quickly, efficiently, stylishly, and within budget, while minimizing the time and effort required from the client's team. We began with comprehensive research and a detailed project briefing. By gaining a clear understanding of the client’s needs upfront, we were able to proceed independently and rapidly during the development phase.
Enhanced product pages: We aimed to provide an enriched landing page experience for each of their key products (CineSkates, CineMoco, Linx). This involved customizing the appearance and content with the use of custom fields and dynamic data entry points, such as videos, infographics, testimonials, and various galleries.
Homepage features: The homepage, navigation, and hero section needed to instantly convey the same energy as their media-rich Kickstarter campaigns. Including a background video and implementing a masonry layout contributed to a sleek look and feel that more accurately represented their brand's quality.
Integrated experience: From the start, it was crucial to retain their existing WordPress blog and Vanilla forum. We developed separate themes for each to ensure a seamless navigation experience.
A successful outcome: The website was well-received. A few years later, Lemonstand was acquired by Intuit Mailchimp, prompting us to replatform within tight time and budget constraints. We selected BigCommerce for its rapid development capabilities, user-friendliness, robust and flexible structure, and excellent support. Remarkably, we completed the replatforming project in just 2.5 weeks.
