Edrington Kyndal India, the producers of Cutty Sark in India and our clients, approached us for a distinctive and eye-catching mono carton design for their 500ml packaging. Cutty Sark is a renowned Scotch with a rich identity and history. We focused on its iconic color palette, utilizing only the official colors and brand symbols. Our strategy was to differentiate the brand without requiring our clients to invest in costly shelf space, while also visually narrating the tale of the fearless clipper by depicting the Cutty clipper illustration navigating through turbulent seas. The combination of yellow, black, and white, with touches of gray and silver accents, makes it unmistakably Cutty. The design emphasizes brand attributes such as bravery and authenticity, regardless of the consequences.

Seasonal Limited Edition or Gift Packs are a longstanding tradition in the liquor industry, designed to attract buyers during the festive season. Cutty Sark aimed to create an impactful, brand-focused seasonal pack, and our goal was to achieve that vision. The Strategy Cutty Sark debuted during the peak of the drink and cocktail craze in the 1920s when three friends first created the recognizable yellow label over lunch, aiming to challenge the dull norms. Staying true to the brand, we focused on fostering the 'Truly for Friends' connection for this season's gift pack. We depicted a scene of friends enjoying each other's company, reflecting the insight that Cutty Sark gift packs are typically purchased for consumption by two or more individuals. The back of the pack features charming illustrations of friends being themselves, playfully integrated within the letters. The front design is kept simple, showcasing just the Cutty Sark logo to enhance its visibility on shelves. We utilized the brand's color palette for a striking effect.
