Comparator of mortgage intermediary

Gepard Finance

This mortgage intermediary comparison tool was created to assess the financial conditions of mortgages offered by various banks, as well as a client's likelihood of securing one. The project started with numerous Excel spreadsheets containing extensive data linked by specific formulas. We aimed to convert this intricate system into a web application. After exploring different options, we decided to utilize Python along with the Koala library. Initial tests of transferring data from Excel to Python appeared successful, allowing us to proceed with the development of the user interface, API, and web application. Although the project seemed unconventional at first, it ended up being the second application we developed that received a prestigious award at FINfest 2021, the leading professional conference in the economic sector.

KAPPKA, App for financial planning

KAPITOL, a.s.

We developed a web application for financial planning for KAPITOL, a.s., which assists the company's employees in formulating financial strategies for their clients. KAPPKA is one of our largest ongoing projects. Our journey began in June 2019 when we took over the source code from another team, which itself was quite an adventure. Despite facing numerous challenges initially, we plunged in wholeheartedly and have been collaborating with the company ever since. This intricate project earned a prestigious award at FINfest 2021, which is the leading professional conference in the economic sector.

Corona Game

Pro bono supporters

During the initial year of the global COVID-19 pandemic, it was quite difficult to determine the correct protocols and anticipate the outcomes of various measures. The goal was to find a solution that would maximize lives saved while minimizing economic damage. At that time, Michal Beneš introduced us to an existing project—a simulation game that modeled the spread of COVID-19 under certain restrictions. We were excited and agreed to collaborate on it. We developed the user interface, refined the game scenarios, and implemented essential protections to prevent data tampering when comparing players’ results. The project turned out to be more complex than we had initially thought. The game launched on January 28, 2020, and we were taken aback by the unexpectedly large number of players right after its release, prompting us to make additional adjustments to the back end. We were delighted with the game's success and grateful for the valuable lessons we learned in such a short time.
