Hospital de Clínicas Caracas

To enhance the efficiency and reliability of its services, Hospital de Clínicas Caracas has partnered with SupraBT to implement the most advanced high availability database solution available: Oracle Database Real Application Clusters. This new platform has enabled the hospital's IT department to elevate its technological standards and tackle new challenges. What was Hospital de Clínicas Caracas aiming for? SupraBT managed the implementation and collaborated with the hospital on various initiatives. Currently, what does Hospital de Clínicas Caracas report? According to Giuseppe Rosellino, there have been significant improvements in response times, positively affecting processes both during data retrieval and updates, which have significantly accelerated response times. A notable example is seen in the applications used by the Human Resources Department, especially in the payroll office responsible for employee payments, which used to take up to 2 hours to generate payroll information. With the upgraded Oracle RAC platform, this duration has been reduced by up to 250%, bringing the response time down to an average of just 5 minutes.

IP Video surveillance for university campus

The leading university, recognized both nationally and internationally for its commitment to human talent development and knowledge management, has tasked SupraBT with establishing an extensive security system. In the initial phase, the optimization of physical access to the university campus was achieved through the installation of IP video surveillance cameras and license plate recognition systems for vehicles entering the premises. This project, which has been in progress for nearly three years, started with a proof of concept, involving the placement of select cameras for evaluation by the Information Technology and Communications Department (DTIC) and the Security Department to assess the technology's benefits. After identifying the necessary requirements, collaboration with UCV’s multidisciplinary team led to a phased project design, enabling the university to achieve tangible results within its budget constraints, according to Luis Mariano Aranguren, Director of SupraBT & CTS. “This initiative has not only focused on technology but also on adapting existing processes and training staff. It represents a significant challenge, as it aims to protect both the UCV community’s physical safety and a UNESCO World Heritage site designated in 2001,” Aranguren noted.

Warehouse optimizes processes with barcodes

Corimon Pinturas

Corimon Pinturas C.A., a company within the Corimon Group, specializes in producing paints for leading brands across various sectors, including architecture, wood, traffic, industrial maintenance, marine, original equipment manufacturing (OEM), and automotive refinishing. They partnered with SupraBT to implement a modern barcode system (RF-BC) aimed at enhancing labeling, product location within the warehouse, and order picking, followed by the rollout of radio frequency technology, also known as WiFi. According to Denis Edgard, only one year and two months passed from the consultancy phase to when they began to see the benefits of this solution. "We’ve seen a decrease in complaints and product returns. The most significant advantage we’ve experienced is our clients' satisfaction, as they are receiving exactly what they ordered. That is invaluable to us," Edgard remarks. With the RF-BC barcode solution from SupraBT, inventory errors have plummeted from 8% to 0.5%, leading to a dramatic decline in customer complaints, effectively reaching near-zero errors. Edgard noted that “SupraBT has been an excellent partner, providing everything from the acquisition of handheld devices and labeling machines, which had to be sourced internationally due to local unavailability, to the setup and integration of these machines with the handheld devices on the filling lines.” He added, “We are now reaping the rewards of our investment; everything we were promised was delivered as planned.”
