June 1, 2022 To Whom It May Concern, One year ago, Panda Windows and Doors experienced a ransomware attack that resulted in a demand for $1.5 million in ransom. This incident took the company back to a time before computers, as access to its network, email, and vital data—such as design specifications, manufacturing plans, patents, and financial systems—was blocked. With the company's infrastructure held hostage due to powerful encryption, costing millions daily, Panda enlisted the help of a local IT firm for recovery while management looked for a reputable cybersecurity company. After ten days, Panda turned to Decom Data LTD, an Israeli cybersecurity firm. Their experts swiftly blocked incoming internet traffic, prevented the attackers from accessing the network, eliminated the need for a ransom payment, disrupted the attackers' strategy, locked them out of the system, and retaliated. Within 24 hours of their engagement, the organization’s data and email were successfully restored from old backups obtained with the aid of the local IT company, even after the lost ten days. We wholeheartedly recommend the Decom team and their U.S. partner, SUPERCYBEX Solutions LLC, who faced formidable challenges to rescue our business, helped restore operations, and most importantly, prevented the ransomware payment demanded from Panda Windows and Doors.
