Our client sought to update their outdated Diversity Business Portal by migrating it to the Azure cloud to enhance user experience, address security concerns, and improve compliance quality. We designed, built, and deployed a new Supplier Diversity Business Portal that allows external users (prime vendors) to log in through SAP CDC and enables internal users to access the system via single sign-on through corporate Azure AD. Our solution integrates various on-premises components, including SAP BW, SAP eHana, and the Supplier Clearing House, with the Diversity Business Portal on Azure. We utilized technologies such as REACT.js UI, Node.js Azure Functions App, Azure SQL Server, multi-stage YAML, integration with the Supplier Clearing House, eHana, SAP BW, and Checkmarx. Upon reflecting on this project, we take pride in delivering a solution that helps our clients further their mission of promoting supplier diversity while preparing their systems for the future. By moving the platform to the cloud, adopting a user-centered design, and enhancing security and compliance measures, we have built a portal that not only fulfills but surpasses the requirements of a modern utility company.
