OUR STORY
Founded and led by Ron Keck, a world-class snare drummer and pioneering music educator, SubCat Studios blends rich musical heritage with cutting-edge technology. Ron's journey from acclaimed percussionist and educator to audio production innovator laid the foundation for the studio established in 2001 in Syracuse, NY. The team includes Studio Manager TJ James, a seasoned percussionist and sound engineer deeply embedded in the Central New York music scene, and Cody Slade, who spearheads video production and graphic design. Freelance engineers Shane Patterson and Brandon Wilson bring extensive experience and accolades, enriching the studio's offerings. Together, SubCat fosters a creative environment where artists and students connect with the latest techniques and technologies, supporting diverse musical and audio-visual projects.
