Financial forecasting app – MVP in 2 months
Paradigm Labs is an ambitious project aimed at creating a super-app for both founders and investors—a platform where founders can access all the resources they need to establish their businesses, while investors get unparalleled insights into the operations they wish to support. However, such a large-scale initiative couldn’t be rolled out all at once, and the primary challenge was a tight two-month timeline. An MVP had to be prepared for an important investor meeting that would determine the project's fate. I collaborated closely with the team to distinguish between essential features and those that were merely nice to have. We quickly recognized that the core functionality centered on financial data, which is crucial for both founders and investors. As a result, we decided to eliminate all other features. The MVP concentrated on financial modeling tools, key integrations, a data visualization dashboard, and a section to educate founders about startup finance. We worked at an incredibly fast pace—from strategy to information architecture, wireframing, and visual design. Two months later, we succeeded. Initially, the scope of the project felt daunting. However, in retrospect, it served as a powerful reminder to trust the process, simplify complexity, and maintain a sharp focus on what truly matters.
