OUR STORY
Founded in 2005 with a modest website, Starbit embarked on its journey from Aberdeen to Edinburgh, embracing new opportunities that fueled its growth. By 2010, expanding workloads led to the hiring of staff, culminating in its official limited company status in 2011. The company evolved its brand in 2013, focusing on Drupal and WordPress, and relocated to Edinburgh's creative hub in Leith in 2014. Key team members like Carine and Peter enriched the technical and design capabilities. Despite growth and new premises in 2018, challenges arose with the 2020 pandemic, prompting adaptation and innovation. Subsequent economic pressures led to downsizing, the closure of their Leith office in 2025, and ultimately, the winding down of operations in 2026 due to financial unsustainability.
