**The Challenge** How can we create a platform that simplifies the process of finding, cataloging, and evaluating small businesses? Our client aimed to develop a platform that would enable their employees to easily identify businesses eligible for Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) funding for research and development initiatives. Currently, employees must navigate multiple websites that list approved businesses and reach out via email. Furthermore, there is no existing system for cataloging these businesses, making it cumbersome to share potential partners with other relevant departments. As a result, small businesses struggle with low visibility among government employees. The fastest route to research approval is to submit proposals aligned with topics highlighted by government departments. To begin, we needed to address several key questions. **The Solution** Through discussions with stakeholders, we found that a centralized platform was absent. Thus, we needed to develop one from the ground up. The objectives for this project included establishing a strong foundational information architecture. This involved several steps: **Results** We completed and presented our design in Fall 2021, providing annotated handoffs for the development team. Our design featured a faceted search capability, modular components for scalability, and a focus on presenting information in a clear and organized manner.

Beat HIV UX and Development

Tarrant County HIV

The Issue Tarrant County aimed to assist community members in managing HIV, encouraging them not to fear their diagnosis, and diminishing the stigma tied to HIV. To achieve this, Tarrant County planned to develop a distinct website dedicated to their HIV initiatives to more effectively reach their goal of virally suppressing HIV positive individuals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They intended for the site to have a fresh, engaging design and to present information in an approachable manner. Tarrant County sought to validate the concerns surrounding diagnosis while instilling hope in those who are at risk. We collaborated with our partners at Belmont Icehouse on this project, focusing on creating the UX flows, wireframes, and site development, while Belmont handled the copy and visual branding. The Approach During our discussions with stakeholders, we uncovered numerous obstacles and stigmas linked to diagnosis and treatment. The project's objective was to recognize the fears of community members and provide resources that demonstrate that living with an HIV positive diagnosis is possible. To accomplish this, we needed to meet several key goals: Outcomes The new Beat HIV website from Tarrant County was launched in April 2021. Since its launch, the organization has attracted traffic to the site through various awareness campaigns. As a result of our efforts, the client is now able to manage content and language updates independently.

The Problem Our client required assistance in developing an application for managing a fleet of electric vehicles. They wanted to ensure that all information related to the vehicles and drivers was readily accessible for drivers, fleet managers, and administrators.
