Inmarsat

Inmarsat is a leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services, with its Enterprise Business Unit dedicated to delivering satellite connectivity and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for terrestrial businesses. The unit aimed to reposition itself in the market and enhance its reputation as an expert and facilitator in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and IoT. Its focus was on boosting brand awareness among four primary industry sectors: Agriculture, Energy, Mining, and Transport, to reach IT and business decision-makers globally. In January 2017, Inmarsat partnered with Spreckley to create a comprehensive, research-driven campaign that included proactive media relations, a microsite to centralize the research, an intelligence paper outlining the key findings, and promotion of both the microsite and research through a LinkedIn Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaign and organic social media efforts. Achievements of the campaign included: **Share of Voice (SoV)**: The main goal was to increase Inmarsat’s SoV on IoT from 20% in 2016 to 30% in 2017. The campaign significantly exceeded this target, achieving a SoV of 41%. **Coverage Targets**: Spreckley secured 712 articles covering the research, including 140 pieces of Tier 1 coverage—well over the target of 90—spanning key publications in 42 countries. **Microsite Traffic**: The strengths of the resources led to 73 links to Inmarsat's website and 139 links to the microsite. From its launch in June until the end of 2017, the microsite attracted approximately 10,000 visitors, 13,500 sessions, and 21,500 page views. **LinkedIn PPC**: The results from the LinkedIn PPC campaign exceeded industry averages, and through A/B testing, creatives and targeting were refined to enhance engagement.
