Plex Ring Smart App
**Client Overview:** Plex Medical, a prominent company in medical technology, engaged Sparkleo Technologies to create an iOS and Android app for their innovative health and fitness IoT device, the Plex Ring. The aim was to design a sleek, modern wearable that accurately tracks essential health metrics, enabling users to enhance their overall wellness.
**Introducing Plex Ring:** The Plex Ring is a lightweight and fashionable device equipped with various sensors that monitor sleep patterns, activity levels, stress, heart rate, temperature fluctuations, blood pressure, and more. When paired with the Plex Ring app, users gain access to real-time information, personalized recommendations, and insights to help them understand their health better and make informed decisions regarding their fitness.
**Key Features of the App:**
- Account (Profile) System allowing for personalized tracking with offline functionality.
- Real-time Health Metrics including heart rate, body temperature, pulse oximetry (SpO2), arterial blood pressure, and activity tracking.
- Machine Learning-based ECG for thorough heart monitoring.
- Sleep tracking with in-depth analysis.
- User-friendly interface featuring visually appealing graphs.
**Our Contribution:** Sparkleo Technologies developed a comprehensive app that smoothly integrated with the Plex Ring's sensors. The team ensured clinical-grade accuracy by following medical standards and deploying certified machine learning models for precise data interpretation.
**Challenges Encountered:** A significant challenge was the integration of Machine Learning-based ECG functionality, which required a solid integration process. Sparkleo Technologies successfully addressed this by utilizing AWS for model deployment and creating APIs for streamlined data access. The ring collects raw data from the ECG sensors, which is then transmitted to the ML ops model via API. The cloud-based ML model processes the raw data into a human-readable format, which is subsequently sent back to the app for user access.
