Hounds and Co. Unleashes a New Look
Online

Hounds and Co

Hounds and Co. Reveals a Fresh Identity Both In-Store and Online Located in Portage, Michigan, local health-oriented pet supply shop Hounds and Co. has teamed up with SPARK Business Works to introduce a revamped brand and website, all while remaining true to its mission and values. The Challenge Hounds and Co. has long been a beloved spot for pet enthusiasts in Portage. Renowned for its selection of natural and organic pet food options that aren’t available at major retail chains, the store was unexpectedly put up for sale in 2023, with local customer Kristen Armbrister seizing the opportunity to purchase it from the original owners. Eager to revitalize the store, Kristen and her team collaborated with SPARK to undertake a complete brand makeover and website redesign. SPARK worked closely with them to rename the store Hounds and Co., aiming to create a brand that is both visually appealing and reflective of the welcoming and friendly nature of the ownership and staff. The Solution Following the successful launch of the new brand and name, the Hounds and Co. team aimed to enhance both their in-store and online experiences. For their physical location, the SPARK team designed a new outdoor signage system for the store and its adjacent dog park, improving visibility for potential customers passing by. Additionally, a redesigned website was created, featuring user-friendly navigation, a product catalog, details on the loyalty program, and educational materials for shoppers. A key addition to the new website is the functionality that allows for real-time inventory listings and online ordering with in-store pickup. With the rebranding initiative and the introduction of the new website, Hounds and Co. is set to make an even greater impact in their community. “SPARK truly grasped our vision and the customer experience we aimed to develop. We are so excited to offer online ordering and real-time inventory listings for our customers,” expressed Kristen.

SPARK Leads Civil Construction Firm's Digitization

Team Elmer's

Leading Regional Contractor with 15 Offices Collaborates with SPARK Recognizing the potential for digital transformation, Team Elmer's leadership engaged SPARK for strategic software design and development. This partnership allows Team Elmer's to utilize a dedicated SPARK team for planning, developing, and deploying custom mobile and web solutions for field data management throughout the company. The Challenge Team Elmer's aimed to consolidate thousands of daily data entries from their teams into a mobile field app, enhancing reporting ease and overall efficiency. Taking a phased approach, Team Elmer’s and SPARK pinpointed ways to optimize daily time entry, production reporting, and job data collection. Additionally, the initial solution required system integrations to facilitate data entry across their existing back-office software. The Solution SPARK’s product manager, lead developer, and UX design team collaborated closely with Team Elmer’s managers and executives to outline an incremental initial scope that could be implemented across their various divisions. With scalability in focus, SPARK developed a robust time entry application that integrates smoothly with Team Elmer’s HR, payroll, and ELD software. Managers can now quickly review and approve employee timesheets through a web interface, and payroll can synchronize these timesheets with the Spectrum accounting system with just one click. Team Elmer's appreciates the easy access to production reports, while employees have positively received the new mobile timekeeping app! Innovative Financial Dashboard for PE Advisory

E78 Partners

E78 Partners assists private equity firms and their portfolio companies in achieving essential accounting, financial, and operational objectives. To consolidate their clients' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in one location, SPARK developed a platform that gathers this information and displays it on an actionable dashboard. **The Challenge:** E78 supports private equity investment firms as they help portfolio companies shift from being founder-led to institutionally managed. This requires careful and dynamic tracking of these companies' productivity, goals, and growth. However, E78 lacked an effective tool for real-time monitoring of these critical metrics, as traditional spreadsheets were insufficient. **The Solution:** Collaborative strategy sessions revealed a significant business intelligence opportunity within E78's data. The SPARK team subsequently created a workflow that utilizes APIs to extract data from clients' databases and showcase it seamlessly on a customized E78 dashboard. Features like automated email reporting for stakeholders, visualizations of financial performance, and various other tools enable the E78 team to enhance their services. By subscribing to SPARK Team, E78 is continuously expanding the range of services they offer to clients. **Custom Software for B2B Service Companies:** Streamline your operations and begin to set your services apart with technology. SPARK assists innovative leaders in converting complex business requirements into straightforward, user-friendly systems and tools. Discover more at SparkBusinessWorks.com.
