Reveals a Fresh Identity Both In-Store and Online Located in Portage, Michigan, local health-oriented pet supply shop Hounds and Co. has teamed up with SPARK Business Works to introduce a revamped brand and website, all while remaining true to its mission and values. The Challenge Hounds and Co. has long been a beloved spot for pet enthusiasts in Portage. Renowned for its selection of natural and organic pet food options that aren’t available at major retail chains, the store was unexpectedly put up for sale in 2023, with local customer Kristen Armbrister seizing the opportunity to purchase it from the original owners. Eager to revitalize the store, Kristen and her team collaborated with SPARK to undertake a complete brand makeover and website redesign. SPARK worked closely with them to rename the store Hounds and Co., aiming to create a brand that is both visually appealing and reflective of the welcoming and friendly nature of the ownership and staff. The Solution Following the successful launch of the new brand and name, the Hounds and Co. team aimed to enhance both their in-store and online experiences. For their physical location, the SPARK team designed a new outdoor signage system for the store and its adjacent dog park, improving visibility for potential customers passing by. Additionally, a redesigned website was created, featuring user-friendly navigation, a product catalog, details on the loyalty program, and educational materials for shoppers. A key addition to the new website is the functionality that allows for real-time inventory listings and online ordering with in-store pickup. With the rebranding initiative and the introduction of the new website, Hounds and Co. is set to make an even greater impact in their community. “SPARK truly grasped our vision and the customer experience we aimed to develop. We are so excited to offer online ordering and real-time inventory listings for our customers,” expressed Kristen.
