FightFI: Gamified Web3 Platform & Identity Layer
Development of Smart Contracts and a Web3 Gaming Platform for Engaging Sports Fans
SpaceDev created FightFI's complete Web3 platform, progressing from an MVP to a production-ready Progressive Web App. This platform features daily missions, NFT rewards, and on-chain user identities utilizing the Aptos blockchain, all accomplished within four months.
**Challenge:** FightFI sought a fan engagement platform that incorporated blockchain technology without alienating mainstream sports fans. The platform needed on-chain functionalities—like NFT rewards, points that could be claimed, and user identity—while avoiding the requirement for users to handle wallets or comprehend blockchain protocols. Additionally, the architecture had to allow for swift feature adjustments, as the project roadmap was continuously evolving during development.
**Solution:** SpaceDev managed the complete technical implementation. The team utilized React.js, NestJS, and Aptos smart contracts to facilitate NFT interactions, track user points, and process on-chain reward claims. Onboarding was tailored to user preferences, integrating social logins, OKX Wallet, and Auth0 OTP email verification, thereby eliminating the need for crypto expertise. Smart contracts were developed in close collaboration with the Aptos team. An admin tool was simultaneously created using low-code solutions for operational autonomy.
**Outcome:** The platform launched as planned and continued to evolve through over 12 months of active development. FightFI transitioned from an idea to a fully functional fan engagement product with games, leaderboards, NFT rewards, and giveaway features operational on the Aptos mainnet, establishing itself as a pioneering example of gamified Web3 in combat sports.
