SorceTek Technology Group

SorceTek Technology Group highlights a growing cybersecurity threat where attackers use deepfake technology to impersonate company executives, enabling fraudulent activities such as unauthorized wire transfers without hacking systems. They emphasize how CPA firms, holding sensitive tax and payroll information, are particularly vulnerable, especially during busy periods when staff may not question familiar voices. Additionally, many firms face risks from cloud misconfigurations, often due to rushed migrations, lack of encryption, and outdated access controls, sometimes leaving former employees with admin privileges unnoticed. SorceTek advocates for regular security audits to verify access permissions and data encryption practices, aiming to help organizations close these overlooked gaps and protect client information effectively.
