The team, comprising over 155 individuals, requires automation for strategic solutions, analytics insights, customer experiences, and lead generation. The company oversees multiple sales funnels and engages various communication channels with users. However, the client encountered difficulties due to the intricate marketing structure in project management and the use of automation tools. The organization could simultaneously handle around 20 projects with different specialists, leading to challenges like slow response times, frequent disruptions, and inconsistencies in workflows. The client aims to adopt marketing automation best practices to expedite and enhance project execution while minimizing errors. The lead developers at Silk Data suggested creating tailored marketing automation software to meet the client’s specific needs, automating project operations, streamlining analytics collection, and efficiently organizing team efforts. Local LLM Deployment for a Marketing Agency

Recognizing the transformative capabilities of AI, the client sought a self-hosted AI chatbot to enhance the workflow and cooperation of their marketing teams. The primary challenge was to create a chatbot equipped with a personal LLM (Large Language Model) that could be operated on the client's internal systems. It was essential that the solution maintained the security of internal data, ensuring it stayed within the company's private network. Having successfully partnered on the creation of an internal marketing automation platform, the client was keen to utilize our established expertise once more. They turned to Silk Data, an AI development company, to assist in deploying the LLM locally. The client, a European digital marketing agency, supports businesses in crafting content and communication strategies across various sectors, including fintech and IT. To tackle these challenges, Silk Data formed a specialized team of six AI experts. The initial stage of developing a demo version of the LLM chatbot took 22 business days. The team chose Mistral, an open-source LLM, as the foundation for their project. The first attempt to run the on-premises LLM on an Azure server turned out to be excessively costly for the client, prompting the need for a more budget-friendly solution that would not compromise performance. After evaluating various choices, the team opted to migrate the private LLM model to a Hetzner server, which struck an ideal balance between cost and performance. This arrangement enabled the self-hosted LLM to run effectively, with a workload distribution of 70% on GPU and 30% on CPU, thereby significantly lowering costs while maintaining high performance.
