PPC for Ukrpas. Part 1. Google Ads

Ukrpas, previously known as PaxUkraina, is an online platform for purchasing bus tickets, featuring over 100,000 routes from various bus companies. The importance of speed and efficiency for Ukrpas was paramount. Thankfully, we had already established a system for automating the launch of numerous search campaigns for online stores through Google Ads, thanks to our skilled development team. We had tailored this system to suit the specific needs of the ticketing industry. Once we created the search ad templates, we were able to launch campaigns for all active destinations, such as "Kyiv - Kharkiv," within just three business days after receiving the necessary feeds. Additionally, the status of active destinations and their prices in the ads are updated automatically twice a day, a task that would be nearly impossible to manage manually. In terms of optimizing Google Ads, tracking changes in key metrics becomes increasingly complex as the number of campaigns and traffic grows. We applied our automation expertise not only in launching campaigns but also in monitoring and optimization. We devised a system that halts any underperforming campaign and notifies our PPC specialist, who then conducts an analysis, identifies issues, and determines the next steps. This approach ensures we use the advertising budget effectively and respond promptly to prevent losses. PPC for Ukrpas. Part 2. Facebook Ads

Ukrpas (previously known as PaxUkraina) is an online marketplace for bus tickets, offering over 100,000 routes from various bus companies. To enhance our advertising efforts, we have implemented dynamic remarketing on Facebook. For instance, if a user searches for a bus from Kyiv to Odesa, we target them with ads for that specific route. Unlike typical dynamic remarketing for online stores, we cannot merely display a product image. Instead, we used a template and collaborated with our data engineer to incorporate all possible route variations, making the ads more relevant and boosting conversion rates. In a previous case, we successfully launched 97% of our search campaigns within three days and automated Google Ads optimization for Ukrpas. In summary, our actions included: 1. Setting up Google Analytics Universal, GA4, and Facebook Analytics from scratch. 2. Creating a promotional strategy. 3. Launching Google Ads campaigns for over 50,000 destinations within three working days. 4. Automating the status updates for active destinations and advertisement prices (updated twice daily). 5. Saving the client's designers significant hours by automatically embedding text into Facebook creatives, increasing the ads' relevance and effectiveness. 6. Developing a system for quick tracking of underperforming campaigns to facilitate timely optimization. These efforts yielded positive results right from the beginning of our collaboration. How to reduce the workload on the call center

Sometimes a business receives more orders than its call center or logistics system can handle—recently, for instance, some warehouse workers were sidelined due to Covid. The costliest transactions for a business arise from advertising, so it's essential to minimize the least profitable orders. Currently, there's no mechanism in place to temporarily decrease orders from organic traffic. When utilizing Google Ads campaigns with Smart Strategies, options like (1) pausing them or (2) adjusting profitability percentages can negatively impact their future performance, leading to substantial losses due to the need for campaign retraining. Therefore, an alternative approach is necessary that doesn't involve disabling or altering campaign settings. We have developed a method to swiftly reduce the number of short-term orders. This approach allows the client to regain business capabilities without wasting money on unprocessable orders and to avoid creating a negative customer experience. Google Ads offers a feature that allows advertisers to assist the automatic bidding strategy in adapting to unexpected events, such as a significant conversion rate spike during Black Friday. We can use this functionality in the opposite way as well. Here’s our process: 1. Gather data to determine how many orders need to be reduced per hour. 2. Access the Campaign Efficiency and Profitability Report and compute the necessary adjustments for each segment. 3. Set the appropriate conversion rate adjustments for these campaign segments in Google Ads. 4. Review new data after the first hour of implementation. 5. Adjust the conversion rate if needed. 6. At the end of the adjustment period, we clear the data to ensure future strategies aren't influenced by incorrect information. This step-by-step approach has proven effective during busy periods, particularly on holidays like February 14th and March 8th for a flower delivery service, as well as in emergency situations.
