THE PROJECT We collaborated with PBS Corp. on several initiatives, with this particular one focusing on their system that manages vital data to effectively serve their clients. PBS Corp. utilizes SharePoint for managing data and tasks. After seven years of operating on SharePoint 2013, it was necessary to upgrade to a newer version—specifically, from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019. The reason for this upgrade was that support for SharePoint 2013 ended on April 10, 2018. Microsoft determined it was time to phase out older versions, prompting all remaining users to devise a strategy for migrating to a newer version of SharePoint. This migration needed to be expedited to ensure data preservation. Beyond simply moving to a supported version, there are numerous compelling advantages to transitioning to SharePoint 2019, with speed and scalability being the most significant. The latest SharePoint platform offers faster page loading, more streamlined scripts and underlying code, and improved user experience. Enhancements have also been made to List View thresholds and support for larger files. THE PROJECT PBS Corp., being a large organization, spends considerable time on the recruitment and hiring of new staff. A prevalent challenge for many companies today is associated with the recruitment of qualified candidates for open roles, particularly in distinguishing suitable applicants from the large pool of candidates. The emphasis on securing the right talent and avoiding bad hires has led to an extended hiring timeline, often lasting up to 30 days. Although having a vacant position poses its own challenges, hiring the wrong person can create even greater issues that need to be addressed later. Company representatives reported that PBS Corp. employees dedicate substantial time to reviewing job applications. After manually sorting through resumes, they select the top candidates and individually contact each for an interview. Their data indicates they spend approximately 45 to 60 minutes per applicant just to assess their suitability for the company. This results in significant time loss. To expedite this process, PBS Corp. sought our assistance in developing an app that would automate a large portion of their hiring procedures. The proposed system would allow job applicants to respond to questions before submitting their resumes and to record and upload video responses on their own. Positive Behaviour Supports Corporation (PBS)

THE PROJECT PBS Corp. enlisted Share IT to develop a proof of concept (POC) for their Telehealth App. They aimed to create an application that would facilitate clinical sessions between clients and medical providers. Our role was to establish the foundational framework and ensure that the application would function effectively. The app required a high level of security to manage sensitive data and needed to comply with stringent regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). In addition to validating the product's feasibility, our task was to create the infrastructure for data flow within the app and to develop a system capable of conducting clinical sessions. THE CHALLENGE As this was strictly a POC, we committed to thorough preparation and conducted additional research before selecting the appropriate technology for the project. The system needed to enable video consultations, allow messaging between clients, and support the recording of notes that would be saved within the app after each session. Additionally, it had to aid users in scheduling appointments with their doctors. Each session required encryption and robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access, even if someone were to obtain the session's unique link.
