SESEN.AI is an AI consultancy founded by Dr. Berkan Sesen, who has over 15 years of experience in developing and scaling AI systems in the financial and healthcare sectors. Before starting SESEN.AI, Berkan held prominent positions at UBS (Head of Algorithmic Execution & AI), JP Morgan Asset Management (Senior Quantitative Portfolio Manager), and Citigroup (Algorithmic Trading Quant), where he created machine learning-driven investment products managing more than $2 billion in assets and led the development of AI trading platforms. He earned a DPhil in Artificial Intelligence from Oxford University and was a visiting researcher at Stanford. Our services focus on helping organizations navigate the intersection of AI strategy and practical implementation, catering to clients ranging from startups launching their initial AI products to established financial firms aiming to enhance their analytical capabilities. We also provide support to venture-backed companies with technical due diligence and AI readiness evaluations. Berkan actively mentors startups at Techstars and AI Forge, has published research in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the Royal Society Interface and PLOS ONE, and is a co-inventor on US patent applications related to machine learning investment strategies. He has contributed chapters to Wiley Finance publications and has spoken at various industry events, including The AI Summit and Barclays European Quant Conference. His recent endeavors include co-founding Tinie.ai (a UKABIF Innovation Award winner and BGV accelerator graduate) and co-authoring research on generative models with partners from UCL and the Bank of England.
