FloControl lands major Cardiff contract
FloControl, a Burnley-based company specializing in hydronic valves and pipeline products, has secured a notable five-figure contract with a new client for the Dragon’s Heart Hospital in Cardiff. This achievement follows the company's investment in search engine marketing, which started 18 months ago. FloControl focuses on water-based heating systems for major projects such as hospitals, stadiums, office buildings, and high-rise residential complexes. However, until 2019, the company struggled with its online visibility, despite its strong industry reputation. Marketing manager Anke Taylor stated, “Our company was appearing on the fourth page of Google results, making us nearly invisible, which didn't reflect our standing in the industry and could potentially harm our reputation. We provide high-value products, so it’s essential for potential clients—often specifiers and contractors—to trust our claims. But if we aren't visible on a leading search engine, it raises concerns.” In search of a search engine marketing partner, FloControl chose seoBusiness in 2019 because of their thorough analysis presented during the pitch. “They conducted extensive research and presented many valuable ideas,” Anke remarked. “It was clear they were eager to collaborate with us.” The project commenced in December 2019, and by January, the positive effects were noticeable, with significant increases in visibility and site traffic. “The effectiveness of the search engine marketing has been remarkable, almost to the point of being embarrassing,” Anke added. “We not only hold the top position on Google but also appear multiple times on the first page!” Anke is certain that the contract for the Cardiff project is a direct result of their investment in search engine optimization.
