Vivino is the largest wine community globally, boasting over 50 million users in nearly every country. Over the past decade, the community has scanned more than 1.7 billion wine labels and contributed close to 80 million reviews, giving Vivino unmatched data in the wine industry. It is also the largest wine marketplace, offering over 2 million SKUs to users in over 20 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. However, Vivino faces significant challenges in lifecycle marketing. With ecommerce, merchandising, and marketing teams operating in multiple languages, ensuring consistent brand standards across email, SMS, push notifications, and other channels is crucial. With more than 50 merchandisers needing to produce emails daily to generate millions in revenue, they must establish workflows that foster collaboration while allowing for quick campaign launches. They also need to keep pace with constant new ideas and data from business leaders, consistently delivering fresh messaging, clean email code, and appealing designs. The Tiramisu App enables Vivino to uphold their code and brand standards by creating custom-coded WYSIWYGs for their merchandising and marketing teams to complete. This approach helps designers and developers maintain their standards while allowing merchandisers to focus on the essential details. Additionally, Scalero provides on-demand assistance with design and coding tasks. Even though Vivino has proficient design and email development teams, they occasionally face challenges, making the combination of Scalero and Tiramisu an ideal solution to enhance productivity.

The Org & Scalero

The Org

The Org is a professional network that enables users to access organization charts for both public and private companies. Its mission is to enhance transparency in organizations and help users gain insights about their own companies and employees. Back in 2019, The Org was experiencing growth in its user base and recognized the need to rapidly expand its email engagement strategy to keep users connected to the community. At that time, they were only sending a weekly newsletter along with a few automated emails via Mailchimp, which was a labor-intensive and unsustainable approach. To address this, Scalero was brought on board to assess The Org’s technology infrastructure and recommend new systems that would support its expanding subscriber base. In collaboration with The Org, Scalero decided to implement Customer.io and Segment, utilizing custom events for greater flexibility and personalization for users. After the implementation, Scalero developed a comprehensive email strategy, taking on the roles of strategist, designer, and developer for The Org. Two years later, The Org now sends out numerous automated and personalized emails daily, along with several new weekly newsletters. These communications are created and managed by The Org’s team using Tiramisu, Scalero’s collaborative email platform. Email has become The Org's primary retention strategy, accounting for over 50% of repeat traffic each month. The Org continues to grow rapidly, establishing itself as a leading source for org charts and insights into teams within some of the largest companies globally.

Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT) is the largest global marketplace where educators can find the community, resources, and tools necessary for effective teaching. Established in 2006, TpT serves as a platform for teachers to share instructional materials and utilize user-friendly digital tools. Currently, TpT offers an extensive selection of over 5 million pieces of content created by educators. Back in 2019, TpT had already implemented a successful lifecycle marketing program that generated millions of clicks each month through email marketing for their online resource marketplace. However, they faced some challenges and chose to collaborate with Scalero to address these issues. This partnership enabled TpT to transition to Simon Data smoothly, harness the platform’s distinct data manipulation and personalization features, and significantly increase their website traffic from email. Scalero continues to support TpT by assisting with data integration into Simon Data, customizing emails with appealing product recommendations, coding emails, providing design advice, and more. With millions of educators worldwide utilizing their services, TpT plans to continue leveraging lifecycle marketing to boost revenue in the future.
