Each client benefits from a personal manager serving as the primary contact, ensuring personalized attention and a deep understanding of nonprofit challenges. SabraCare+ includes 12 annual hours of technical support for significant site improvements with transparent tracking through a custom Client Portal. Their structured approach guarantees reliable, efficient website management aligned with nonprofits' evolving needs and budgets.

Transforming Bread for the City’s Website

Bread for the City

Our team at Sabra has enjoyed a partnership with Bread for the City for more than ten years. A decade ago, we developed the second version of their website, but much has transformed since then. With technology advancing quickly, we recognized the need to revitalize BFC's website. As their long-term design collaborator, we have a deep understanding of BFC's mission and the diverse needs of their community. This close relationship enabled us to create a detailed list of new features and ideas to enhance their website significantly. A key focus was making sure that BFC's varied clientele—many of whom speak Spanish, Amharic, and Mandarin—could easily access the organization's resources. By utilizing Google Translate and AccessiBe's accessibility tools, Bread for the City's website now welcomes everyone, regardless of language or ability. We also aimed to simplify community engagement, volunteering, and information sharing. The updated events calendar allows staff to manage recurring programs with ease, while a streamlined volunteer sign-up process eliminates obstacles to participation. One of the most exciting aspects is the enhanced emphasis on BFC's impactful storytelling. Their blog, filled with inspiring stories, now holds a prominent position, with highlighted articles integrated into service pages. Visitors can not only discover BFC's services but also witness the tangible effects on individuals and families. Behind the scenes, we collaborated closely with BFC's team to develop an intuitive and user-friendly content management system. Our commitment to creating easy-to-use backends is a hallmark of our work, and in this instance, the BFC team was able to navigate the new system without any training—demonstrating its user-friendliness. We take pride in having created a content management experience that empowers BFC's staff to update their website effortlessly, without encountering roadblocks or frustration.

Bustin’ a Gut 2024: The Healing Power of Laughter

ABGH

This year, we had the honor of collaborating with the Association of Black Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists (ABGH) to develop a new brand identity and promotional materials for their annual Bustin’ a Gut comedy show. At this event, healthcare professionals and comedians come together to make discussions about digestive health more approachable. ABGH refers to Bustin' a Gut as a Medutainment event, which combines laughter with health education—and that description truly captures the essence of the event. Host Dave Helem and special guest comedian Zainab Johnson had the audience laughing uncontrollably, while Drs. Janese Laster and Ed McDonald addressed questions from attendees regarding gut health and cancer prevention. To embody the relaxed, comedic atmosphere, we designed a playful graffiti-style font and incorporated grunge textures and paint splatters in their printed materials. The outcome was a lively, eye-catching brand for an equally dynamic and entertaining event, which can be easily updated for future Bustin' a Gut comedy shows nationwide. DC SmallBizHelp Website

CNHED

The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing & Economic Development (CNHED) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting equitable community economic development in Washington, D.C. Since its inception in 2000, CNHED has expanded its membership from 55 to nearly 180 organizations, comprising affordable housing developers, counseling agencies, economic development groups, workforce organizations, lenders, and government entities. These members offer a wide range of services for entrepreneurs, and CNHED has aimed to create an online resource that simplifies access to these services. This initiative led to the development of the DC SmallBizHelp website, which was designed to compile all available resources for small business owners in D.C. into a single, user-friendly platform, enabling entrepreneurs to leverage a variety of programs and support within the city to elevate their businesses. Although CNHED had previously attempted to launch this website, they faced challenges with its functionality, which hindered progress. After Sabra Creative successfully built CNHED’s main website and received positive feedback, CNHED partnered with Sabra to revive the DC SmallBizHelp project. Together, we focused on creating a highly user-friendly website that allows visitors to easily find and utilize resources specific to their business needs and development stages. Over the past year, we have worked closely with CNHED to establish this essential resource for entrepreneurs in D.C.
