Swapwash

Logo creation for Swapwash, an online laundry pick-up and delivery service, targets busy families and professionals, primarily in major urban areas. Modern laundries often lack a connection to online markets, particularly at a time when consumers are willing to pay more for convenience and service. Swapwash aims to fill this gap. In the beginning, Swapwash was a start-up founded by just two entrepreneurs who clearly understood the audience they wanted to reach. Consequently, the overall design identity had to reflect the qualities of an established brand, emphasizing reliability, customer focus, and convenience. During the research phase, we conducted a comprehensive questionnaire to outline the project's scope and gain insights into the laundry industry. This research was invaluable and helped define Swapwash's unique brand positioning. We then translated this brand positioning into a visual representation. All gathered information and competitive analysis were consolidated into a mood board/stylescape that captured the essence of Swapwash. The combination of dark blue and a hint of soft red conveys a trustworthy and youthful appearance for the start-up. This stylescape served as a visual guide throughout the design process.

Waves is a trendy, vibrant brand that specializes in Artisan Shave Ice, capturing a tropical and funky essence. With their food trucks inspired by Hawaiian island culture, they aim to appeal to families, millennials, and teenagers. After sampling their fresh Shave Ice, everyone should be saying, "Mmm, Broke da Mouth." The brand’s logo features a simple, abstract design that symbolizes the colorful fruit syrups seen on Shave Ice from a bird’s-eye view. The combination of rugged edges and vibrant colors, along with the tropical typography, conveys the fun island atmosphere they wish to portray. The logo is not only distinctive but also adaptable, allowing them to match the colors to different ice flavors, adding a playful touch for animations or menus. For instance, the Mango-Strawberry flavor on their menu would showcase an orange-red variation of the logo. So, did you experience that “Broke da Mouth” moment?

The use of lowercase lettering alongside the logo adds to the brand's approachable aesthetic. A muted yellow color palette gives Beehotel a friendly, welcoming vibe without appearing overly flashy, which could suggest a lack of quality, something the hotel chain aims to avoid.
