A frequently asked question from clients is: How crucial is video marketing for businesses? Recent studies indicate that 53% of users interact with a brand online after viewing a related video on social media, and 72% of online users prefer learning about a brand through video. In 2019, video marketing on social media has proven to be an effective strategy for businesses across various industries and sizes. At Ripple Marketing, we recognize the importance of staying current with consumer trends, ensuring we reach our target audience not only in the right spaces but also with the appropriate content. With Seoid na Trá, a new property development in Bettystown, we experienced the significant impact of video through three creative videos we created as part of our digital marketing strategy leading up to the launch of their latest phase earlier this year. Given that video marketing for real estate agents is an emerging field with untapped potential, we aimed to leverage the advantages of video on social media. By utilizing advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, we crafted and executed an innovative digital marketing strategy featuring the three videos for Seoid na Trá. By targeting specific audiences, we optimized our cost per click to enhance website traffic and brand visibility during the initial phase of this development's release. With video as our primary content type, we were able to engage with our target audience on a more personal level, enhancing brand recognition. Furthermore, because Facebook and Instagram’s algorithms favor video content, we were able to reach a larger portion of our target audience at a lower cost, as users engage with video five times more than with static posts on Facebook alone.

KBC Dublin Marathon

On Monday, October 27, 2019, Dublin saw 22,500 runners, 30,000 supporters, and 1,800 volunteers take to the streets for the KBC Dublin Marathon, marking the 40th anniversary of the event and KBC’s inaugural year as the official sponsor. The festivities began on Friday, October 25, with the opening of the Expo at the RDS, where runners picked up their race numbers, explored various exhibitors, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. KBC featured a prominent booth where participants and fans could capture photos on the official finishers’ podium as well as collect KBC hand clappers and fan banners. A large digital screen displayed messages from runners and supporters. In preparation for race day, KBC transformed key landmarks and the marathon route throughout Dublin into KBC blue. To enhance the excitement along the marathon route, KBC established "Cheer Zones" at Myo's Castleknock and Nutley Lane. Each zone featured two actors serving as motivators with megaphones and placards bearing encouraging messages. Additionally, merchandise staff handed out KBC hand clappers to amplify the cheers, and a coloring zone was set up for children to write supportive messages on KBC fan banners. DJ booths were adorned with KBC branding, and the entire Cheer Zone was immersed in KBC blue for the day. The atmosphere was vibrant, providing an excellent motivation for runners striving to complete the 26.2 miles.

KBC Bank Ireland kicked off its sponsorship of the Dublin Marathon and Race Series with a lively launch event, coinciding with the first-ever KBC South Dublin 10k held in Grange Castle, Clondalkin. This marks the inaugural year of KBC's sponsorship, and our campaign aimed to enhance awareness, boost engagement, and celebrate the KBC Dublin Race Series. Emphasizing KBC's identity as a digital bank, we sought to activate their #RunThisTown campaign on the event day. Our efforts focused on runners, their families, supporters, and volunteers. Our social media team captured photos of winners on the podium and sent them directly to participants’ phones for immediate sharing on social media. We transformed the location with KBC's blue branding and created a relaxing KBC chill-out zone, featuring ample seating for runners to unwind and celebrate with loved ones. We also provided fun photo props and had photographers ready to capture everyone’s special moments on the podium. Through participants sharing their photos on Facebook, we reached 9,172 people organically.
