At any given time, Bupa operates several care homes across the UK that are unable to admit new residents. Nevertheless, these homes continue to host regular activities and events for their current residents. However, it became clear that the positive efforts of these homes and the enjoyment of their residents were not being adequately showcased. We assisted in creating a system for the homes to report on their activities and events, highlighting both the residents and the staff. Since each care home has its own unique characteristics, we designed a customizable newsletter template that can be easily updated to reflect each home’s individuality. The newsletters feature diverse content, such as recent events, birthdays, community engagement, and new initiatives. They have been positively received by both staff and visitors. We are now expanding this initiative to care homes that are currently able to accept new residents, with plans to publish them quarterly moving forward. Following the success of our initial pilot, we are considering larger print runs and developing a strategy for making the newsletters accessible online to reach a broader audience and enhance SEO.

The UK’s premier photography specialist enlisted Red C to create an eCRM program aimed at achieving a substantial return on investment while showcasing their enthusiasm for image creation. As is the case with any new initiative, it began with gathering insights. We engaged with key stakeholders across various departments, including sales, product, and customer service. Additionally, several team members worked in retail locations to understand the diverse customer base at Jessops and what drives their purchases. After completing our orientation, we identified that the core issue with the email program was its failure to connect with customers' passion for photography. The existing email strategy was limited to weekly messages that solely focused on discounts. We proposed that, since their audience might not always be looking to purchase a DSLR camera or new filters, they needed more than just promotional offers. We aimed to create a "rich and varied inbox" for their database. Consequently, we developed a range of templates that encouraged customer engagement with Jessops, even when they weren't considering a purchase. In addition to providing discounts and offers, we created emails that included exciting photography competitions, useful tips, advice, and inspiration. As a result, within the first three months, the program increased gross demand fourfold, and total direct sales surged by 510%.

In 2015, Red C assisted JD Williams in launching a VIP loyalty program for their top 100,000 customers. To welcome these customers into the program, a special package was sent out that included a 12-page booklet, a letter, and a keep-safe card. Red C's challenge was to create a package that was engaging and sophisticated while clearly indicating that the recipients were receiving it due to their VIP status. They designed an exclusive VIP welcome pack that featured relevant fashion advice and a gold aesthetic to emphasize the program's prestige. Additionally, a patterned overlay was added to the booklet to enhance its luxurious, velvety appearance. The response rate was remarkable at 22.5%, generating nearly £3 million in total demand. These outstanding results from a non-sales mailing clearly demonstrate the value of making customers feel valued.
