HFQ® Technology is an innovative solution that facilitates the production of lighter and more cost-effective structures using high-strength sheet aluminum. Impression Technologies Ltd holds the license for HFQ® across various sectors, such as Automotive, Aerospace, and Consumer Goods. Our Designers and Engineers collaborated with Impression Technologies to create a promotional product that showcases the potential of HFQ® Technology. We explored design concepts from initial sketches to a state ready for production, taking into account both product requirements and manufacturing capabilities. 3D prototypes were created and machined directly from 3D CAD models before final approval with fully functional production prototypes. Our Manufacturing Engineers supported the development of the production tooling by providing comprehensive tool manufacturing drawings and fabricated components.

Unspun reached out to our agency to assist in researching, designing, and developing an industrial felt milling machine aimed at hardening fabric through traditional methods. While there are existing machines, the only ones still in the country are over a century old and serve as museum pieces, providing us with a unique chance to completely reimagine an important historic industrial artifact. Our Mechanical Engineers utilized photos and diagrams from an 1892 patent to outline the machine's design and movement capabilities. We improved the framework by replacing the cast iron with laser-cut and welded mild and stainless steel. The motion system was transformed from a belt-driven crank into a highly adjustable pneumatic and stepper motor-driven system with electronic controls. Additionally, the bearing system was upgraded from heavily greased wooden blocks to accurate hardened steel rails fitted with dry-lined bearings, and we incorporated modern safety features, such as interlocked covers and emergency stop buttons.

Their systems and solutions help manufacturers comply with increasing industry standards, enhance productivity and yield, and gain a competitive edge in their manufacturing processes. The UDA Formaxx is a printer designed for pharmaceutical packaging, equipped with a vision system to ensure print quality and a reject station to eliminate components that do not meet quality standards. Our Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers developed a casing for the machine that restricts access to moving parts in accordance with machinery regulations while still allowing for easy loading and maintenance. Additionally, we created a transparent acrylic lid that can be lifted and lowered with the help of two gas struts.
