Bowmans Law is among the top law firms in Africa. After a competitive pitch process against prominent global agencies, PURE Creative agency won the contract to revamp the brand and create a new brand identity. The updated Bowmans logo features three key components: the name "Bowmans," presented in a simple, clean font that reflects the firm’s ability to simplify complex concepts; a logo that symbolizes Africa and the rings of a tree; and the tagline, “The Value of Knowing.” The branding utilizes a rich color palette inspired by the African continent, incorporating an ochre orange and metallic copper, alongside a deep navy blue, to establish an elegant appearance. In developing the logo and icon, the concepts of Aristotle's 'tree of knowledge' and the philosophical rings of knowledge were incorporated to form a refined visual language for Bowmans. Starting with the knowledge rings, PURE Creative merged these with the shape of a tree, which ultimately evolves into the outline of Africa, positioning the firm at the heart of African knowledge. These themes are consistently showcased in all branding materials created. Since the rebranding, PURE Creative has been managing the account for over five years, acting as an integrated part of the marketing team.
