A Sea of Names and Competition
Point Seven / Bento by .7
Point Seven offers a menu of seafood that is both globally inspired and sustainably sourced, all within a sophisticated setting in Midtown Manhattan. The restaurant's name reflects the fact that oceans cover 70% of the Earth's surface, which provides a vast array of ingredients for Chef Franklin Becker and his team. Rather than adhering to a specific cuisine, the restaurant showcases a variety of exceptional dishes influenced by global culinary traditions, making it essential to consider the overarching theme that ties these diverse cuisines together. This theme is the ocean and its carefully sourced ingredients. To capture this concept, we incorporated elements like oyster shell textures and bathymetric maps, along with flowing typography and natural materials to enhance the restaurant's ambiance. We developed the entire brand identity, from the name to the napkin rings and everything in between. Additionally, we assisted in creating a high-end fast-casual sushi concept called Bento by .7, which is located next to Point Seven, designing its brand, signage, menu boards, and custom packaging.
