Bancolombia: The best IT talent.

Description: This bank is one of Colombia's largest and most significant financial institutions and is part of the Bancolombia Group, which operates in multiple countries across Latin America. It employs approximately 30,000 individuals and boasts over 146 years of experience. The challenge: To attract top talent for core and innovative projects that encompass various specialties. The solution involved: hiring over 30 integration developers, including service designers and SOA developers; more than 50 developers with various skill sets such as full-stack, back-end, and front-end; and over 20 specialized roles, including DevOps experts, mobile developers, UX/UI designers, and cloud architects. The outcome: 94 out of 96 candidates were successfully hired, resulting in a 98% success rate for the roles filled. It took an average of 15 business days to place these individuals, and the organization received recognition as the top partner in 2021, achieving 1st and 2nd place among hundreds of suppliers in the banking sector.

Grupo Familia: An Omnichannel Platform

Description: Grupo Familia, the LATAM branch of the Swedish company Essity, has enhanced well-being and quality of life through its range of products for incontinence, baby care, feminine hygiene, and consumer tissue for 60 years. It has become one of the most trusted and well-known companies in South America and the Caribbean, thanks to its development and innovation of brands such as Familia, Nosotras, and Pequeñín, among others. The challenge: To define, design, and implement a comprehensive, flexible, and scalable omnichannel architecture that can accommodate various brands and functions. We addressed a wide array of resources, including educational materials, interactive platforms, and entertainment campaign systems; developed innovative websites tailored to customer expectations; and established virtual care courses, loyalty initiatives, and rewards catalogs, among others. The solution: Pragma opted to build an omnichannel architecture utilizing AWS cloud services. Key elements of this architecture included both relational and non-relational databases, containerization (EKS and ECS) and serverless technologies as the foundation for business logic, and micro frontends as a design pattern for user experience. Contentful was selected as the headless content management system to provide a cohesive user experience and digital services across all countries where Grupo Familia operates. The outcome: A unified technological framework that guarantees a consistent user experience across the company’s websites and channels, addressing both commercial and technical challenges. This has resulted in faster implementation of digital initiatives. The new architecture has facilitated the agile development of new digital assets, delivering incremental value to brands and consumers. Customer loyalty has risen, as seen by the enrollment of over 47,000 individuals in the Pequeñin Club across four Latin American countries and the establishment of a Pequeñin Loyalty program. Additionally, there is a Nosotras community in ten Latin American countries.

Comfama: Boosting conversions

Description: Comfama is a welfare fund in Colombia with more than 2 million members, offering services in health, credit, housing, education, and culture. The challenge was to develop a customer loyalty strategy, as they had typically relied on sending bulk emails to their subscribers without thorough analysis. Recognizing the need for personalized communication, the company established a customer relationship team. The solution involved collaborating with Comfama to segment and analyze their users. We implemented data-driven campaigns aimed at increasing enrollment in Comfama’s courses. Our data analysts utilized a database of 1,997,728 enrollment records from the past three years. Initially, we applied data analytics to group users into clusters, resulting in 315,627 individuals, while creating additional variables related to our goals: user engagement, age categories, and preferred courses. The results showed we identified a segment of users likely to enroll in specific course combinations. We then sent 48,168 targeted emails based on our analysis, achieving a 32.4% open rate, a 6.5% click-through rate, and an impressive conversion rate of 81%.
